AS 290 — Co-Occurring Behavioral Health Disorders (5 cr)
The Co-Occurring Behavioral Health Disorders class will focus on clients who have one or more disorders relating to the use of drugs or destructive compulsive behaviors as well as one or more mental health disorders. This class will provide an overview of diagnostic criteria, assessment, medication, specific mental disorders, and the need for linkage between the mental health services system and substance abuse treatment with the goal of dual recovery.
